Traditionally, Community Foundations have implemented single vendor packages. The Salesforce platform provides an opportunity to embrace a different approach which some refer to as best of breed by utilizing the open platform to customize or integrate preferences. This session will explain and demonstrate how the Salesforce platform can be leveraged by installing packaged solutions from the Salesforce AppExchange or custom Applications to meet the needs of any foundation.

Charles Boname joined Vancouver Foundation in 2014 bringing a wealth of technical expertise and project management with him from the public legal sector. Charles leads a large team of full-time & contract IT professionals to deliver stable applications and business value atop a secure computing environment. Charles has a BA in History from the University of British Columbia and completed his technical training (MCSE) at the British Columbia Institute of Technology and recently earned an MBA at Royal Roads University.
Charles brings a disciplined yet creative voice to the table in leading change, communicating technology and achieving organizational improvement. Learn more about how he has strategically dedicated budget & technical resources into fortifying the Foundation’s perimeter security while strengthening staff’s cybersecurity awareness. |
A business and technology consultant for nearly 30 years. John has worked with foundations and nonprofits for over 20 years. After working for several large nonprofit technology companies, in 2011, John created Foundation Partners to better serve nonprofit clients as an unbiased and independent voice.
John has Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Iowa. |
